KidPix is a wonderful computer drawing program
for students. The KidPix stamps work well
for first grade students who are learning
to write addition equations. Students can
create many equations in a short period of
time. Each child can combine several equations
to create a KidPix slide show to showcase
in the classroom.
Besides the mathematical power of using KidPix
to record addition stories, these computer
skills are reinforced:
Use of mouse
Copy/Paste
Moving a graphic
Graphic Art Skills: resizing, paint
bucket, eye dropper
Keyboarding
Saving a document
Creating a slide show
